Application Criteria

All Trainee Teachers must hold:

• a standard equivalent to a grade C or grade 4 in the GCSE examinations in English, mathematics and science (for Primary phase applicants). 

• an (Hons) degree from a United Kingdom higher education institution or equivalent qualification. 

• ENIC (European Network of Information Centres formally NARIC) ‘Statement of Comparability’ if qualifications are not from a British awarding body

• two academic/professional references

Successful applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. All Trainee Teachers must also complete a health and physical capacity to teach form before being offered a place on the programme.

Equivalency Testing

If you are looking to gain an equivalent qualification for Maths, English or Science GCSE, this must be applied for and completed with www.equivalencytesting.com or Astarequivalency.co.uk ​
