OUR TRAINING PROGRAMME

 

 

We offer a one year programme designed to enable trainee teachers to meet the Teachers’ Standards in addition to the academic award, PGCE. The training programme combines school experience with Professional Studies and Subject Knowledge development. We believe this blended approach of school based learning and academic study gives trainee teachers the ‘best of both worlds’; the opportunity to link theory and practice, thus developing reflective practitioners. 

 

SCITT (tuition fee) training programme:

 

Trainee teachers will be based in a school but they are not employed by the school. Fees must be paid by the trainee teacher, either through student finance, training bursaries or scholarships. More information about funding can be found here.
