The UCAS site https://www.ucas.com/ucas/teacher-training/ucas-teacher-training-apply-and-track provides step by step instructions on the application process and enables candidates to search and apply for ITT places.
We strongly advise you to apply early to our training programmes to avoid disappointment. Please contact us if you have any queries regarding the application process or qualifications eligibility. If you have mislaid your qualifications certificates please note that all successful applicants must provide the original certification for academic certificates.
All applicants should use ‘Apply 1’ first.
You will need to provide details of two referees at the time of your application. Applications are not received by training providers until both references have been returned
Applicants who are otherwise suitable for ITT but, for whatever reason, have not successfully achieved a GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent may be given an opportunity to show that they can nevertheless meet the required standard, either by taking an equivalence test (http://www.equivalencytesting.com/)
If you wish to train as a Primary teacher your degree can be in any subject
Once applications have been received, training providers are committed to letting you know their decision within 40 working days
During ‘Apply 1’ you can apply for up to three choices at the same time (you can choose from any route, subject or age group, in any combination)
Once you've received a response from all of the training providers you applied to, you have 10 working days to respond to any offers you receive. If you fail to respond within 10 working days any offers will automatically be declined
If you are unsuccessful in ‘Apply 1’, you can try again with ‘Apply 2’ which opened in November 18. During ‘Apply 2’ you can make unlimited choices but these must be made one at a time.
Fareham & Gosport Primary SCITT are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
